The binoculars wide apparent angle of view minimizes the appearance of the distracting hand shake that is common with high-power optics. With avid users in mind, Olympus treated the objective lenses with ultraviolet (UV)-blocking coatings to prevent this harmful radiation from damaging your eyes. Designed for daily outdoor use in all weather and to make it easy to hold, the Magellan features a slip-resistant armoring to provide a sure and positive grip. A standard 1/4-20 socket allows it to be mounted on most quick-release plate, heads, photo/video/field tripods, and other support systems, using an optional adapter, for hands-free use.
